Charlie Chaplin: Google Doodle celebrates 122 years since his birth
The birth of Sir Charles Spencer “Charlie” Chaplin, the English comic actor, film director and composer best known for his work during the silent era, has been celebrated by the search engine Google.
Marking 122 years since his birth, Google has transformed their usual logo into a two-and-a-half minute Charlie Chaplin tribute video that stars a look-alike of The Small Tramp.

Google, the world’s most standard and most visited website is known for its celebration of special days and occasions but has only rarely featured a video doodle on its homepage.

In the black and white video, Chaplin is went on by a policeman after he is spotted reading a Google newspaper on a park bench, engages with an artist painting a Google logo and then tries to blag his way into an event without paying the $1 admission.

One of the methods he uses to try to get into the event involves him drawing his very own Google doodle. After eventually deceiving the policeman into giving him cash, he is able to skip up the road with his brand cane.

After the video ends, the user will be full to a Google page showing search results for “Charlie Chaplin.”

Chaplin, born in London on 16 April 1889, was also well known for his oversized trousers and shoes, bowler hat and toothbrush moustache, with The Tramp who features as a tribute act in the video, his most standard character.

The Google doodle first went interactive in May 2010 to celebrate the 30th birthday of the standard Pac-Man game. Then on October 8, 2010, Google celebrated John Lennon’s birthday, a day in advance, with an innovative doodle that played a 32-second clip of Imagine, considered to be the singer-songwriter’s most standard solo song.

For 13 years, Google has been occasionally swapping its everyday logo for a doodle, a sketch celebrating holidays, inventions, artists and sporting events, and showcasing designs from contest-attractive students.

Charlie Chaplin was a very standard comic in the era of silent movies.

The London Film & Comiccon takes place in July at Earls Court 2. This is the last decent event in London- the MCM expo has been ruined by Manga lovin’ cosplayers (booo). At the Comiccon- you can get autographs, buy collectables; Star Wars, Trek, other movie material, see real movie props, buy comics and magazines.
