  1. i got this same hat not meaningful it wasn’t screen accurate at all so i steamed it and shaped it, it worked nicely so i took the pin off and now its screen accurate

I got one of those hats, but I was unsatisfied with it, so I “rebashed” it into a Riders Fedora.

  3. To be sure, with some work, you can get a decent ToD / Last Crusade look out of it.

  4. 2-300? You can get a excellent looking one for $85 – 150. :P

The hat like that looks like crap nothing like Indy’s……. RESHAPE IT!!!!!

  6. Akubra, Peter Bros, Herbert Johnson, Camptown (too terrible they stopped operation as of the past winter), Adventurebilt, Pennman… ALL of them make Indy hats that are far better than the DPs. I have a Peter Bros hat and am looking into a Magnoli Herbert Johnson myself.

  7. Dorfman Pacific makes a top of the line stetson quality Indy hat-while not movie accurate it is still a better quality hat-at over twice the price-of the more common $39.95 types but if that is all one has-I still acknowledgment them.

  8. hey i have a hat just like that i got it from knoots bery farm for free

I have the hat from blockbuster, but I’m ordering a Fed IV hat soon, and I rebashed my BB hat by wetting it down and putting it into an open crown affect then supplying it with a excellent-ancient fashioned Raiders look.

  10. Just prearranged hat like that yay :) !

  11. Well no one will doubt it is an Indiana Jones” hat for sure. How many of us want to spend $2-300.00 on an indy hat that is too nice to wear anytime or all the time?

  12. I know what everyone says about Orvis Fetl Lite packable hat’s that they shrink but it was beacuse you did not ahve it mold to your head!!! I favor mine over any hat Any Day!!!!!!

  13. Yeah, I’ll certainly buy a Federation hat soon:)

don’t buy this, get the stetson temple,it will cost you around $140 but is a kick ass hat,you will look like indy all aptly, search online for it.

  15. It looks conservational and it’s not screen accurate at all. Wear it ’til it doesn’t fit and buy a Akubra Federation. They are low priced and excellent quality. They can even pull of a Raiders bash!

  16. Congrats!! nice hat, i will have mine too from the Indy official store.
There are other brands, like Adventure built, that are beaver felt. That model expenditure 500 bucks, and those were the ones that Harrison Ford used on the last film.
None the less, the one that you dad gave you it’s only one of its kind, couse he gave it to you with like. :)

  17. You’ll probably find that the first hat is a fur felt one and not wool felt. Wool felt is inferior quality as well as not looking the part. It’s way to grainy.
I’ve had both and believe me fur felt is twice the quality and style.

  18. I have the hat! But I always complain that if they want to make an Indy hat, why wont they make look like the real deal!

  19. cool hat

  20. I’ve done it, and have no complaints. The hat of course stopped decent me ages ago, before I did it (while waiting for my Peters Bros. Temple of Doom hat to come), but I like how such simple work goes a long way.

  21. Excellent to know:) Then I won’t have to worry about by it on rainy/or snowy days:)

mines been wet plenty of times(rain, snow, and a crazy five year ancient cousin) but its always fine if you just air dry it. by no means fails!

  23. randomsquirrel123 on September 4th, 2010 at 1:46 pm

it seems like very excellent quality doesn’t it?

  24. Ok, i’ll keep that in mind;)

  25. be carful when you wet it you can ruin youre hat if you dont do it aptly.
